When it comes to magazines I don't like to gamble. Sig Sauer makes their magazines of the best quality. There are at least a couple of other makers that make excellent quality magazines too, but again, why take the risk when you already know what has worked for you in the past?
Sig P229 stock mags (09-07-2014)
I often carry a P229 SAS Gen2 in 40 S&W on & off duty and it is my go-to handgun for home defense and varmint control around my farmstead. My Sig factory 12 round mags have proven to be 100% reliable. If you are going to bet on a semi-auto handgun there is no logical reason to use any but the best magazines, and IMO Sig's factory mags have proven to be the best.
